Training Programmes & Workshops

All of our workshops can be delivered as face to face sessions, in house or offsite or as virtual sessions, which enables us to cover worldwide geographies with zero impact on your expense budget.

Disruptive Thinking

In highly competitive markets businesses are under increasing pressure to stand out from the crowd in order to drive ambitious growth targets. This workshop will help identify the ways in which companies can unleash their potential by disrupting market conventions and generating innovative ideas for growth. The session explores the brain science behind creativity and provides tools to challenge existing thinking as well as providing the skills to facilitate an idea generation session.

Impactful and Engaging Presentations

4 out of 5 professionals said they shifted their focus away from the presenter during the last presentation they attended. (Source: Kelton Global) Make sure you are the one presenter that grabs their attention by communicating with the maximum impact and credibility to get your message across effectively.

Storytelling as a Communication Tool

Exploring the two aspects of Storytelling; the ‘story’ - its structure and ‘telling’ - the art of delivery, story telling is an essential part of any leader’s communication tool kit. The workshop will describe why stories are more persuasive than facts and how our brains are hardwired to respond to stories. Six different storytelling structures will be explored to help to make stories more compelling and how collecting ‘themes’ will help leaders to inspire, inform and awaken the sleeping wisdom in a room.

Assertive Influencing

This course is aimed at anyone who needs to communicate, whether internally or externally. It develops the skills and the confidence to assert your opinions and proposals in a way that is accepted by the listener. For anyone who lacks the skills to stand up and make their voice heard, this course will help them express their opinions effectively and to stand strong when the challenges come. Exploring the behavioural science of influencing, the programme will explore the heuristics of the human mind to help individuals persuade and influence more effectively.

Gravitas: Increasing your Personal Presence

Leaders can be found at every level of an organisation, regardless of position; they inspire and motivate people to follow them. Displaying leadership communication qualities is distinct from managing; you can become a leader without having been given the title of manager.

For those looking to become a leader in their organisations, one of the key steps is being recognised as such. This workshop will explore the concept that becoming a leader, as opposed to manager, is a personal choice; it’s how you choose to behave. The traits of gravitas will be explored; what is it about some individuals that causes a room to hush when they speak, how can some people make connections with others quickly?

Effective Meeting Facilitation

Meetings are a critical part of working culture – effective meetings save time and money. When meetings are facilitated well the attendees feel more empowered which increases their engagement and subsequent willingness to implement the action list.

This workshop will provide a list of tools and processes that can be used in different situations to get the required results. Participants will not only understand what is required of them in their role as a facilitator, they will also develop the core skills of facilitating.

Management Skills

This workshop will equip line managers with the essential skills and knowledge to transition to and perform in their new role. This course is designed for those newly appointed to a management role who wish to manage individuals effectively or those who have been in their role for a while and wish to build upon their skills. This workshop will also be useful for anyone leading matrix or project teams. Attendees will be able to confidently perform as a manager, set objectives, manage performance, prioritise work, motivate and develop their people and delegate effectively.

Growing Resilience

Today, many people find they are working to shorter timescales, and with more volume and task complexity in the work they do. This often means we have to work to higher expectations, and learn to handle the demands this makes on us. This means developing personal resilience and an ability to work well in pressure situations. This workshop is designed to help participants identify how they react to pressure situations at work, and how to increase their capacity to maintain performance and enjoy their work.

Participants will learn how to manage personal reactions, and develop mental toughness and resilience when encountering challenging situations. The workshop will improve people’s ability to recognise signs of pressure and have the techniques to handle this.

Consultative Selling: Discovery

This workshop will provide sales teams with the crucial skills of consultative selling, with the customer at the heart of the process focusing on the Discovery stages of the sales process.

We focus on engaging with customers earlier in the customer’s buying process and how to get a deeper understanding of customer’s pain points to position how your products can help them.

This two day workshop will increase your level of confidence when opening and developing customer relationships.

Critical Thinking

This course will benefit anyone who has to make decisions and solve problems in a business context. It will help individuals understand an issue fully and, once understood, will help them use that input to make the most informed decision possible. New perspectives will be explored by helping participants look at problems more creatively and to ‘join the dots’ to identify possible future impacts of their decisions. Attendees will have a tool kit to help them think critically, identify potential cognitive biases, make effective decisions and view issues from new perspectives.

Leadership

This course is designed for those looking to enhance their leadership skills. It is aimed at individuals who lead teams, projects, or groups of people in a non-hierarchical matrix structure who are looking to set a strong vision and excite people to join them on the journey. On completion of this course, attendees will have a very clear understanding of the aspects of leadership that they need to focus on and will have a tailored action plan to aid their development in those areas. This programme requires the attendees to complete a 360 feedback process, requiring 3-6 peer to complete it ahead of the programme, as well as answering the questionnaire about themselves.

Personal Effectiveness

The working day has become increasingly hard to manage; technology places us is an ‘always on’ mind-set and creates a reactive approach to requests and deadlines. Being aware of your personal time stealers and having techniques to avoid distractions and procrastination helps with goal prioritisation and managing time effectively. Individuals will be able to break down daunting tasks into bite size segments and will be able to schedule them, working backwards from key milestones, as well as being more aware of key stakeholder’s priorities in order to be better able to predict future requests. Finally, the workshop will provide some problem-solving tools and decision-making tools to prevent time wasted by indecision and reacting to symptoms rather than the root cause of issues.

EQ (Emotional Intelligence)

Daniel Kahneman in his seminal book 'Thinking Fast and Slow' differentiated between our two thinking systems. System 1 - fast thinking, heuristics, intuitive decisions based on emotions and gut instinct and System 2 - logical and rational thought requiring working memory and effort. 98% of all of our thinking is done in System 1; as Antonio Damasio, a neuroscientist, observed, "We are not thinking machines that feel, we are feeling  machines that think'.

This workshop will raise your EQ levels through understanding your thinking and communication preferences and how to flex communication with others. You will gain skills to identify emotions in others by observing body language and micro expressions and how to use the vocabulary of feelings effectively to demonstrate empathic listening.

A DISC report will be provided as part of this workshop for each attendee.

Managing Hybrid Teams

Hybrid or fully remote teams are increasingly more common. This workshop will help managers address the three most common issues found in non proximate teams - isolation, fragmentation and confusion and provide suggestions and tools to help hybrid teams operate at their full potential.

Mentoring

This course is designed for those interested in becoming a mentor within their organisation. Attendees will be equipped with understanding of the role of a mentor and be provided with the skills to establish a new mentoring relationship and sustain it to achieve the desired outcomes for the mentorees.

Crucial conversations

Delivering feedback is a critical part of being a manager, but in organisations that require different functions or departments to work with each other closely in order to be effective, conversations need to happen regularly. In this workshop we’ll cover what counts as a crucial conversation, the benefits of having them, how to prepare effectively and some feedback tools that can be utilised in different feedback scenarios.

Coaching

A workshop that focuses on how to coach effectively as a manager. It explores what exactly coaching is, who to coach, the style of coaching required and when to coach. The core skills of a coach will be provided as well as the GROW coaching model. Coaching tools will be explored to help with decision making and root cause issue identification.

Negotiation

Sales people can often make the worst negotiators; they are fine tuned to the customer’s needs and are hard wired with the goal of making the customer happy. This can significantly impact the success of achieving an optimum commercial agreement. This programme works through the six essential stages of negotiation, focusing in depth on the critical preparation stage. Using live examples and role play case studies, the participants will increase their power base and move away from offering without return.

Train the Trainer

This course is aimed at individuals responsible for designing and delivering training events.  The workshop will provide them with the tools they require to build effective learning that is targeted to specific learning objectives. It will explore how memory works and therefore how to make learning stick as well the learning styles and learning cycle to ensure that the intervention designed covers all needs. The core skills of great trainers will be described including how to establish immediate credibility with the group and set high initial energy levels as well as how to manage the training environment and handle tricky situations. A template will be provided to help provide structure to the creation of outcome based learning sessions.
