Jo Gourley Froome — Managing Director

Jo Gourley Froome's philosophy is to disrupt the patterns of thinking and conventions in order to challenge people to think, learn and do differently. She has a degree in the Philosophy of Mind and specialises in Communication skills, Management and Leadership and in the psychology of Creativity in relation to marketing and product innovation.
Each session is adapted to fit the groups’ needs. Jo is passionate about keeping learning experiences fresh, engaging and results oriented.
Jo has been a learning capability consultant since 2006; coaching individuals, facilitating workshops and delivering keynote speeches at large conferences. Her ever-creative and often quirky approach means the content she designs and the workshops she facilitates make a genuine impact, not just on the day, but in the weeks, months and years that follow.

Jo thrives on the day-to-day energy and diversity her role brings – she still gets a kick from seeing people have that light-bulb moment. Jo’s genuine interest in helping people achieve their personal objectives, means each session is adapted to fit the groups’ needs. Jo is passionate about keeping learning experiences fresh, engaging and results oriented.

An experienced facilitator and instructional learning designer, Jo has worked in sales and marketing in both a client and agency capacity and has worked at board level to design and deliver capability requirements across a wide client base. Jo has worked as a National Sales Manager, Corporate Affairs Manager and also as a Marketing Manager responsible for a portfolio of brands worth over £500 million. She has also been Head of the European Sales and Marketing Capability Team for one of the global top 3 FMCG companies. She works across many industries including retail, technology, manufacturing, healthcare and pharma as well as professional and financial services.

Jay Carlin - Senior Consultant

Jay’s style and spirit ignites the heart and mind, supporting clients and coachees to be the very best versions of themselves. You’ll be influenced to dig deeper, to explore further and to push the boundaries.

He designs and delivers professional and inspiring development solutions that significantly shift the balance towards greater personal mastery and positive organisational performance.
 
Using proven and creative techniques, Jay partners with Executive boards and Senior Leaders, to maximise the value of people development initiatives; challenging them to seek out the key formulas for sustainable and long-term future success.

Jay’s international experience spans industries and sectors including BioTech, Financial Services, Media & Entertainment, Defence & Security, Manufacturing and Marketing.

Emma Carver - Senior Consultant

Emma knows all there is to know about Development, Recruitment and Assessment.  With a career that spans both in house and consultancy work, Emma brings a unique combination of 28 years of experience as a Facilitator, Assessment Lead, Resourcing BP, Coach & Training Manager. Emma has a proven track-record of outstanding training and assessment design & delivery across all industries and sectors globally.

She also has extensive experience of designing and managing global assessment and development centres, competency frameworks, exercises, bespoke recruitment tools and large restructure projects.

As a Facilitator, Emma’s delegates describe her style as “supportive, open, passionate and engaging”. She has developed a reputation, in the words of her clients, for “providing a wealth of invaluable expertise, direction and counsel”.

Joanne Ward - Office Manager

Joanne brings over 25 years' experience in her role as Office Manager and brings a wide administrative skill set to support Disruptive Training with their administration and delivery capability needs.

Along with programme management, data analytics and reporting, she also ensures enablement materials are of the highest quality and standard, from delivery decks and workbooks to bespoke Excel surveys and toolkits.

Since 2023, Joanne has worked closely with Jo and Disruptive Training on transformative programmes and supporting a range of clients across multiple sectors.
